CARE

DAILY CARE

Your extensions can last you a very long time if you take care of them properly. Each day, ease out any tangling around the attachment cylinders. Simply use your fingers as a comb and run them through your extensions. Without this, knotting can develop, which may cause damage to the extensions and to your own hair.

PROPER PRODUCTS

Each client of mine will be given specific recommendations for which product to use tailored to your own hair, but below is a standard guideline:

1. Recommended shampoo

2. Recommended conditioner

3. Recommended detangler

4. Recommended treatment

5. Recommended heat protectant

WASHING, BLOW-DRYING + STYLING

Do not wash or blow-dry with your head upside as this may cause severe tangling.

Always use a heat protectant before blow-drying or using any hot tools. 375° or less is a safe temperature to style your extensions.

Do not use any tinted shampoos or conditioners at home (purple, etc.)

BRUSHING

Gentle, gentle, gentle! Using a Wet Brush, turn your brush vertical and very gently begin brushing at the very ends of your hair and slowly work your way up. Please do not rip through your hair in a rush. Use a detangler when brushing wet hair and use a small amount of oil/serum in dry hair.

SWIMMING

Before swimming, apply a leave in treatment to the hair and then braid your hair in order to avoid tangling. Once you are done swimming, always rinse and apply more leave in or simply shampoo and condition and detangle immediately.

SLEEPING

It is advised to loosely braid your extensions while sleeping to avoid tangling. You may also purchase a silk pillow case to provide a smooth surface for your hair while sleeping.

MAINTENANCE

In order to maintain the integrity of your own hair and your extensions, it is necessary to book a maintenance appointment every 6-8 weeks. It is advised to book this appointment in advance to ensure availability.
